Facts:

This fungus is called "Bird's Nest" because the cap is cup-shaped like a nest and the spores are inside like little eggs. The spores are visible and mahogany brown in color. Spores are dispersed when rain falls and spashes them out of the cup. These mushrooms are very small, look closely to find them.
